Thursday, June 26, 2008A new double-page ad we are running in the NTOA Tactical Operations Conference show guide in September. Thursday, June 26, 2008These rare, über cool, silenced, .45ACP bolt-action carbines were built by AWC for special operations forces as a modern take on the Delisle Commando Carbine of WWII. They were built in relatively small numbers using an action sourced from Pauza specialties. They used a free floating, non-ported 7” barrel encased in a 1-5/8” diameter tube with a small number of simple, coined baffles. Feeding was via a Pachmayr 1911 magazine. The trigger module was sourced commercially from Timney. The model on the bottom was owned and improved by Tim Bixler of S.C.R.C.. His enhancements included a support for the muzzle, as well as a more efficient baffle stack.
Thursday, June 26, 2008Thursday, June 26, 2008AAC silencers were featured in the blockbuster hit “I Am Legend” starring Will Smith! They are on the silver screen during the scene where they are trying to evacuate New York City. These are dummy-cans of our M4-2000. It’s pretty cool to see AAC on screen with Will Smith in such a major motion picture! “I Am Legend” and the above screen-captures are © 2008 Warner Bros. Pictures Thursday, June 26, 2008Wednesday, June 25, 2008These custom grips from VZ Grips look even better in use on this 1911! Wednesday, June 25, 2008This awesome rifle came in from McMillan Bros. It will be used for R&D/testing of our Cyclops™ silencer.
