My feet are finally not sore, I haven’t wanted hand sanitizer every 5 minutes, and most of all, I’ve finally gotten the inane beeping of the slot machines out of my head. That sound haunts my dreams.

It’s WTF Wednesday…what a perfect day to post this.

Every year at SHOT, a select group of people throw a themed race event. Each year, we are invited to participate, and in years past we have sucked big time. However, this year…AAC kicked all kinds of ass. Rachel, our resident hot, tattooed, incredibly charismatic Skinny co-host and welder decided she would be in the race for us. We beefed up a lightweight electric bike, slapped some stickers on it and called it a day (we knew Trey was going to kick ass with his super secret-mobile, but we didn’t care). We were excited to be a part of it and excited that Rachel was going to race for us. She’s hot in her little skinny mad max pants! We entered with confidence, knowing no matter what she was going to do her best. The weather was MORE than shitty, which was an immediate set back for the entire event. I can deal with cold, and I can deal with drizzle but an all out cold-rain puts me over the edge. So, I cheered her on from inside the van. The start of the race was hilarious. Rachel and about 4 other girls were all geared up and ready to take off, the announcement was made for them to start and Rachel was BALLS TO THE WALL….flooring it, NYYYAHHHHH NYAHHHHHHH NYYAHHHHH. So freaking funny. She had lapped the other racers and didn’t even realize it. She said she and Kevin had a pep talk in the van on the way to the event and the words “Don’t you let those girls beat you!”, were ringing in her ears. She bit the dirt several times, got right back up and took off like her ass was on fire. Gotta love it. Even in the rain. Trey Knight, also raced his totally bad to the bone little midget mobile. When we say fast, this thing was FAST. I think he might have beefed it up with some juice, if you know what I mean. I had so much fun looking at everyones costumes, and wondering around with Knox my makeshift camera-man doing Skinny’s with Mers and Rachel before and after the event. I hope next years annual fishing trip, wherever it is….is INSIDE. Vegas in January is almost always COLD. My amazing cousin Rachel (the blonde) flew to visit me in Vegas the week of SHOT. My equally amazing best friend Sara (the brunette) flew out as well. We ran through Vegas as fast as we could in the three days they were there, taking as many pics as we could, laughing as much as possible, and planning the next big adventure we’ll be taking together. Kristine from The Armory Group sent us these pics from the BigBang party at SHOT. Kristine rubbed elbows with a bunch of folks in these shots- princess Mers, Mike Smith, Rachel, our good friend Drake from Magpul, and even caught a look through the sweet night scopes that KAC brought!
