Rifle shoot this past weekend with 300BLK

Randall sent us over an email from Frank giving feedback on a shoot he attended.

Just plain bragging!!!

Here are the videos of my (ahem!) super times at the Charlotte Military Rifle Match last Saturday. 7.49 seconds- this was my best time ever by 3 seconds, best times of the day by 2 seconds, and only a few tenths off the match record.

This is at 8″ by 13″ steel plates (essentially head size) , at 200 yards, fastest time to take down 8 winning. Danny, I used your Atlanta Arms .300 Blackout loads. The gun was suppressed (silenced) which is why it was so quiet. If you notice in the first run, in which the timer did not pick up the shots because of the suppressor, I actually put a last round downrange on a plate that was already falling!

There are other shooter’s runs there also to give an idea of the difference in sound and speed. When I first started attending this match 4 years ago, times in the 16 second range were winning. Anything faster than 14 seconds is excellent, 12 seconds, incredible. I believe this only the second time ever in less than 8 seconds.

GA progress for hunting with Silencers

NRA-Backed Pro-(Silencer) Hunting Legislation Introduced in the GA Senate

Please contact members of the Senate Natural Resources and the Environment Committee Today!

On Tuesday, NRA-backed Senate Bill 301 introduced by state Senator John Bulloch (R-11), was referred to the state Senate Committee on Natural Resources and the Environment.

SB 301 would allow Georgians to use lawfully-possessed silencers (also referred to as suppressors) on firearms for hunting.

While silencers/suppressors do not eliminate the sound of a firearm, they do reduce the muzzle report of a firearm much in the same way that a muffler reduces exhaust noise from a car or truck. There are many benefits to silencers/suppressors: (1) they increase accuracy, (2) make shooting more enjoyable by lessening felt recoil and reducing muzzle blast, (3) protect shooters’ hearing and (4) help reduce noise pollution.

Noise complaints are causing closures of shooting ranges, informal shooting areas and hunting lands throughout the country. Increased use of suppressors on shooting ranges and hunting lands will decrease these detrimental complaints.

While a committee hearing has not yet been scheduled for SB 301, please call AND e-mail members of the state Senate Natural Resources and the Environment Committee and respectfully urge them to support SB 301. Contact information can be found below.

Vahan from Armament Services International . . . and TV Star

Many who know AAC are familiar with one of our Distributors (and great friends), Vahan from Armament Services International or know by his web site, www.autoweapons.com. Well Vahan had an appearance on the TV series “Sons of Guns” which aired last night. Catch it in reruns all this week on the Discovery Channel

“Vahan Kelerchian from Armament Services International has a client willing to pay $50,000 to get his Japanese auto cannon repaired — but he needs Will’s help. Will tells him he is backed up and can’t do the job for months. Vahan leaves an unhappy customer.”

The fact that Vahan has a rare piece of history like a Cannon from a Japanese Zero should come as no surprise to anyone that knows him. If your looking for a quality, even rare machnegun, Vahan no doubt has (at least) one.
