Here is an interesting little item.
Note the threads are not at the 18T end of the mount, but at the top.
Anyone know what it was used for?

It looks like an 18 tooth QD mount/adapter that reflexes over the barrel. No flash hider or brake; crown of muzzle is exposed.

Close, this is an adapter for an AAC S3R Silencer. This mount did reflex over the barrel, but an AR10 flash hider was then placed over the top of the adapter on the threads, hence the very few inner threads seen in the photos. Good job Glenn
